The fixation on the skin stimulates the tissue structures under the skin during movement, improves blood circulation and stimulates nerve activity. This regulates muscle tension and reduces pain. There is no scientific confirmation of the effect of kinesio taping, but it is particularly popular in competitive sports and is also frequently used in physiotherapy.

In the course of treating an orthopaedic problem, your therapist may suggest the use of kinesio tape. Movement tests will determine the right tape for you and, if necessary, it will be renewed during one of the following sessions.
