Even after inpatient or outpatient treatment, chronic illnesses or cancer always remain part of life for those affected and their relatives.
Low-threshold accessibility: the CURA meeting centre
Chronic illnesses or cancer affect all areas of life: Attitude and meaning of life, spirituality, self-esteem and identity, finances and career, spouse or family.
In a healthcare system in which cost optimisation plays an increasingly important role, the needs of patients can often not be adequately addressed. Patients and their relatives need space and time for themselves and their illness in order to integrate treatments and symptoms into their everyday lives.
For this reason, the Claraspital has initiated a low-threshold, accessible location: the CURA meeting centre. CURA is open to all chronically ill people - such as patients with chronic respiratory diseases, cancer or diabetes -, relatives and interested parties. CURA aims to support those affected with a wide range of services to help them cope with their situation and maintain or regain their quality of life - in an atmosphere of trust, security and joy. Holistic, together, charitable are the values of the CURA meeting centre, which is solely committed to its visitors.
At the CURA meeting centre, visitors can relax in an informal atmosphere.
- drop in for a coffee or tea or stay a little longer
- get information and advice from experts
- meet other sufferers and exchange ideas with them
- take advantage of various courses and therapy programmes
- attend lectures on topics such as medicine, exercise and relaxation, nutrition, art, philosophy and law
