Im­portant in­for­ma­ti­on about your de­par­tu­re

• The date of discharge will be communicated to you by your attending physician.
• You will be discharged by 11.00 a.m. at the latest. You will receive a voucher for a meal at Café Chiara if you are unable to return home until after lunchtime.
• Your attending doctor, the responsible carer and our inpatient case managers will explain any treatments, checks and special features after your stay in hospital.

During your stay, you will receive the medication prescribed by your doctor. For legal reasons, we are not allowed to give you any medication when you go home.

• On discharge, please give your telephone card to the nursing staff on the ward.
• If telephone charges or other expenses are incurred during your stay, an invoice for the total amount will be sent to your home.

Our social counselling service advises you and your relatives during your stay on topics such as inpatient or outpatient follow-up solutions, nursing and social aftercare and coping with difficult life situations. Registration
is made by your attending physician or the nursing staff.

• If you have private insurance, the Guest Relation staff will conduct an exit interview with you and help you pack your personal luggage.
• For patients with private insurance, we will contribute a maximum of CHF 100 towards the cost of travelling home from the Claraspital by taxi, and CHF 50 for patients with semi-private insurance. Vouchers are available at reception.
