The nursing service of the Claraspital offers practical training places for the 3-year diploma training programme to become a qualified nursing specialist HF. During the internships on the wards, students learn about the nursing and care of somatically ill people in a real professional environment. In this way, nursing skills can be learnt and developed.

The dual nursing training programme at university of applied sciences level is an ideal mix of theory and practice, after which you will be in demand as a competent specialist in the healthcare sector.

Following this, you will have numerous opportunities for further education and training, such as a postgraduate course in anaesthesia, intensive care and emergency nursing, further training in various specialist areas or a Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing science.

A position in nursing management or in the field of nursing education are further prospects after training. There are numerous part-time positions available in the nursing profession, which makes it much easier to combine family, career and/or further training.

General requirements:

• You have completed secondary level II education. This could be a federal certificate of proficiency with or without a vocational baccalaureate, certificate from a specialised secondary school, DMS-3 qualification, commercial diploma, baccalaureate qualification
• You have the willingness and aptitude to build relationships with people of different age groups and cultures
• You have good communication skills in all situations
• You are a strong team player
• You are characterised by your organisational skills
• You have the ability to act independently, responsibly and in a results-orientated manner
• You can withstand stressful situations
• You are willing to commit to your learning and development processes
• You have differentiated written and oral language skills

The nursing service of the Claraspital offers practical training places for the apprenticeship FaGe. The in-house internships enable students to learn in the various interdisciplinary fields of work in a real professional environment. In this way, skills can be acquired within the four areas of administration/logistics, organisation of the living environment and everyday life, care/support and medical technology.

Surgical technology specialists organise the operating theatre for planned and emergency operations and prepare the room as well as the instruments and materials. They assist the surgeons and coordinate and are responsible for safety and hygiene measures.

The nursing service at the Claraspital offers various internships on the wards. These include, for example, the six-month FMS internship, but also various nursing internships lasting two or more months for those interested.

The Claraspital offers interested pupils a career choice internship to familiarise themselves with the profession of healthcare specialist (FaGe) and/or the nursing profession in general.

The nursing service at Claraspital offers internships for the practical modules of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme at Bern University of Applied Sciences Health. The internships on the wards enable students to learn about the nursing and care of somatically ill people in a real professional environment. In this way, nursing skills can be learnt and developed.

The Claraspital offers FH graduates internships for the additional module B on various wards. The internship salary is based on the cantonal guidelines.

In cooperation with the private hospitals Bethesda and Marian Iselin, the Claraspital offers the 2-year training course to become an anaesthesia care expert (learning location: practice). The University Hospital Basel bears the main responsibility for the NDS in theory and practice.
