Chro­nic ex­hausti­on

Chro­nic fa­ti­gue is a phy­si­cal­ly and ment­al­ly pa­ra­ly­sing ex­hausti­on or unusual­ly ra­pid fa­ti­ga­bi­li­ty that has per­si­sted for at least 6 mon­ths. The­re is a si­gni­fi­cant im­pair­ment in car­ry­ing out pro­fes­sio­nal, edu­ca­tio­nal, so­cial or per­so­nal ac­tivi­ties and it is not the re­su­lt of pro­lon­ged, ex­ces­si­ve ex­er­ti­on. Ano­t­her sym­ptom is that the sym­ptoms do not im­pro­ve si­gni­fi­cant­ly with rest and re­la­xa­ti­on.
